FLOW

Water is an essential ingredient for all living things in the globe. For humans its used for agriculture, drinking, hygiene, extinguishing fires, providing drinking water and waste water services, industrial applications power generation and food processing. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_crisis) As the world is being developed and the population is increasing dramatically the need of clean water increases. "Flow" documentary explains how people in different countries are facing many problems since they don’t have access to clean water. In this essay I will discuss the main problem, its causes and effects and finally some possible solutions for better a future.
Water will became strategic resource in the coming years. Studies show that the largest markets in the world are oil, electricity and thirdly water! Many people in different parts of the world don’t have access to clean water. Recent studies show that 1.1 billion people don’t have access to clean water (http://www.charitywater.org/whywater ). Moreover, 2 million people die every year because of unclean water related diseases. Many water companies invest in poor countries to produce bottled clean water. However, the problem is that some companies are dishonest. They get advantage of how much profit they will gain without thinking of the side effects of their project. (http://www.iwp.bas.bg/index_files/Page400.htm )
Many things led to water crisis. Flow pointed at three points, industries, population and organizations. In poor countries such as India population increases dramatically and more than two thirds of people without an improved water source live on less than $2 a day. India gets loans from the World Bank to fill necessary needs such as food, water and development projects. The problem is that the country does not use the money properly and the loan is increasing each time which makes India incapable to meet its loans. In this case the World Bank start to govern India indirectly and in this case decides on the solutions that lead to provide clean water. Suez is the selected company that dammed. The Ganges River to sell bottled water to Indians at 10 times the price it had been. The Majority of the people can't afford the price and get water from the natural sources which may be polluted. (http://www.iwp.bas.bg/index_files/Page400.htm)
This is a strategic problem. People can live without food for weeks but without water the person barely lives a few days. A solution should be found and people all around the word should act since they are affected sooner or later. Media should make people aware all over the world that water is rare and people should use it wisely. In India 10 liters per day costs $200 a year per person. A scientist discovered a way that kills pathogens that live in water by building an aluminum filter system. If the government employed the Indians living in each village and provided them with clean water wouldn't cost a lot. Moreover, employ people to dig the ground and look for underground water. (http://water.org/solutions/digging/ )
In conclusion, we are living in a changing world, any act we do affects every element in the plant. We should be wise in dealing with rare items such as water and try our hard to live in a safe environment.

Projector

The Projector is a new technology that displays the images to the audience by connecting it to the desktop computer and it reflects the images to the white board which is designed specially to do this. In this case this tool comes with three main parts: projector, computer and white board. It gives you less effort when you use a projector, because everything will be designed and prepared in technical aspect. No need for paper to waste or writing on board.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slide_projector.)

In our college, teachers usually use it to demonstrate the lesson to us. Teachers can get students' attention while showing a lesson which has colorful presentation. It is a benefit to both teachers and students especially if the teacher wants them to follow his or her steps while doing them in the class room for instance. Downloading a file needs students to follow the teacher's instructions to download fast.(http://www.ehow.com/about_5108016_types-audiovisual-aids-used-teaching.html. )
As a student, I have been asked to prepare a presentation to talk about my project, so after I submitted the report to my teacher, I give a brief speech about what I have done through the report using PowerPoint slides. Then I stand up in front of my class and start explaining using the projector. Not only presenting slides, it can show many things, for example websites, documents, movies etc.
Previously, teachers used to suffer from writing on the board to explain the lesson. Furthermore the lesson would be only information without any images. More effort in writing led the teacher to miss some information and students as well if the teacher erases it to continue with his or her lesson.(http://www.ica-sae.org/trainer/english/p17.htm. )
In addition, our college has many events such as National Day.In this day we might have guests to talk about this historical day. This guest wants support for his or her speech with pictures, information, and a short movie about the United Arab Emirates, so it is very important to provide a projector for this occasion.
Moreover, His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, visited our college and to welcome him with Mr. Al Kamali the president of our college welcomed them with a nice speech beside the volunteer students who will stand and give him more clear idea about special projects or topics for example poems.(http://www.jstor.org/pss/807975.)
Also, we could use this tool to connect it to a big screen to display a movie or football match like what is happening in some cafés. In this case the projector helps to gather people in one place. There is more advantage in using a projector when lecturing or talking about some important issue like car accidents in the United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, in business files, we can show the latest and newest products on a big screen so that all customers see and notice.(http://thejournal.com/articles/2002/06/01/multimedia-projectors-a-key-component-in-the-classroom-of-the-future.aspx. )

Finally, I think this technology is very helpful and has many advantages such as spending less time and effort in the classroom, getting the attention of people and raising public awareness. I recommend that everyone should be able to use it at home,in the college or at work.

Technology

50 years ago study and teaching was very hard because it was without any technology. People in the past were using different and simple items. Nowadays the technology comes from other countries and makes the teaching much easier than before. Technology has made a lot of new things and it helps all the people in the world.
In today's world, technology is constantly changing to an improvement in hospital machinery. Technology lets people improve the way they live so that they can preserve their own personal energy and focus on the really important factors in life. Some people focus their energy on making new innovations to improve transportation and the health of people that may save lives. Technology is significant in everyone's life because it rapidly changes what is in the market. But, some new innovations of technology are ridiculous because they serve no purpose in helping mankind.

Technology is becoming more and more dominant in our society. Everyday upgrades are being made and new innovations are being discovered. Technology is all around us whether we want it to be or not. It is the vehicles we drive; it can be found in our homes and other places. Every place we look there is some type of technology. I believe technology has a major impact on our college systems and is still impacting it today. There are those who do not agree, though, that technology has impacted our colleges. In fact the impact of technology on education has very big influence to made changes in the classroom.

For example wireless technology has become the wave of the future. Even in the class room we use the wireless technology to get access to the Internet in the laptop to find information that we need in the class. without wireless technology we will find a lot of difficulties to access the internet. Students are using wireless everywhere in the college also when you attend to Higher Colleges Of Technology you have to get a laptop so in this case you are using wireless technology in addition to other technologies.

Differences and similarties between Bugatti Veyron and Porsche 911 turbo

Many people are interested in owning supercars according to their brand, speed and look. Bugatti and Porsche are two luxury supercars that are famous worldwide. They have a few similarities and many differences at the same time. In this essay I will compare and contrast between the Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 turbo.
Bugatti and Porsche are similar in many ways. First of all, both of them have an attractive shape. Secondly, they are supercars which people like to own because of their speed and strong engine. Finally, both of them are coupe cars.
It’s true that Bugatti and Porsche are similar in a few features but they vary in many ways which lead people to prefer one car to the other. Bugatti are very expensive. Bugatti is worth $1.6 million and the Porsche is only about $140,000. The top speed that the Bugatti can reach is 253 mph while the Porsche is only 192 mph,(http://www.rsportscars.com/bugatti).The Bugatti can change the speed from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds but the Porsche takes 3.6 seconds. Bugatti horse power is 1001 whereas Porsche is only 480.The Bugatti weight is 3307 lb while the Porsche is between 3650-3750 lb,(www.leftlanenews.com/porsche-911-turbo).The Bugatti torque is 2200 pound feet but the Porsche is 457 pound feet.
There are many interesting points about the two cars. The Porsche 911 turbo is a German car that was discovered by Ferdinand Porsche,(www.eurocarblog.com/post/405/). The design of the Porsche includes six cylinders and one turbo. On the other hand, Bugatti is a Italian car which was discovered by Ettore Bugatti. It’s designed with sixteen cylinders and four turbo.
In conclusion, it is great that I had the chance to search and learn more about these two supercars. If I wanted to buy a car I would buy the Porsche because it’s more convenient for everyday driving and more affordable.

The last few months were a refutation of self regulating capitalism and the elites who nurtured it, and many observers have warned the voters about it. Instead, Europe’s center has held steady and possibly gained strength, except for Germany, France, Britain and small countries like Latvia and Ukraine. The reason for the failure of the crisis to translate into a boost for the extremes is because economic crises tend to rally voters around their existing leadership. Some voters have greater confidence in the mainstream parties to keep the economy stable. Even though left-wing utopia is good for a protest vote as Thomas Petersen says but still few citizens want to be led by the untested leadership of the populist fringe. Of course these are early days, and the bottom is still a long way off. If the crisis lasts a couple of years and none of the mainstream parties can solve it, then voters will give extremists a try says Mudde.California governor Arnold Schwarznenegger gave a lecture at the CeBIT, and his words were inspiring to Deutsche Telekom which are looking to the U.S operations for green innovationj.

Summary of Hajar Mountains

Wadi Wurayah is located in Hajar Mountains in the Emirate of Fujairah. It is special location that has waterfall and streams around rocky outcrops. This Wadi is 169 sq km area which is rich of different rare species of birds, animals and plants such as Arabian tahr, Arabian leopard, caracal lynx, freshwater fish the garra barreimiea and wild orchid. A team was selected to protect this area after the issuance of a decree through the ruler of Fujairah. The main threats that face the Wadi are hunting wild animals, throwing litter by visitors and over use of water that feeds the Wadi. That’s why many procedures will be followed to protect the area. Firstly, hiring local people to stop hunting rare animals and avoid littering by visitors. Secondly, establishing a visitor center, camping areas and more to organize the visits of people to the area by the municipality. Thirdly, following the WWF international standards, International Union for Conservation of Nature and the United Nations Scientific and Cultural Organizations. Finally, looking for a sponsor to finance the project.

Its hard to protect the nautural areas so we have to do the best to protect them , but if you have money you can do anything.

Its a very good article, also I had know a new places in my country that I don't know.I wish one day to go to this place to see the nautural areas of the UAE .

Dyslexic Children

Dyslexic children get confused with specific visual information. The new technology has produced special glasses to help them control their eyes. After that, the scientists said dyslexics do not have enough magnocells. The new research sees this problem caused by eye movement not from the brain. The scientists started to ask boys about what they see on pages . One of them said the words were moving with out legs. If we want to solve this problem we need to use hi-tech glasses. Finally it is hoped this will improve reading skills and solve a lot of dyslexic problems.
